Community wellness clinics
How does the service work?
We have wellness clinics in three different community centres in Bristol. We also have a mobile health clinic that travels around the city in a van.
At the clinics, we can talk to you about your health and wellbeing. We can also give advice on diet and exercise.
Our nurses can do tests to check your blood pressure, blood sugar levels, weight and height. We can also do screening to check your liver, cholesterol, and kidneys.
The tests check whether you are at risk of diseases like diabetes, heart disease or cancer. If there are any problems, we will talk to you and your doctor.
We can also help you access healthcare more easily:
We can help you book a GP appointment.
If you have hospital letter, we can read it for you and help you understand it.
If you have been given medication, we can help you understand how to take it.
